About Flux Slots

Flux seems to be Thunderkick’s attempt at toppling Starburst from its throne. The slot certainly has a similar look and feel about it, but you won’t mistake it for the original. That being said, Flux has its very own charm and appeal and you should definitely take it for a spin, just to see the three Free Spin Features, which will surely challenge your desire of many spins versus high risk chances to win. Simply comparing this slot to Starburst doesn’t do the game justice, so check it out for yourself.

By now we’re pretty used to fantastic looking games from Thunderkick. Their graphics department knows what they’re doing. Thunderkick doesn’t exactly stand out here, but it doesn’t disappoint either. You get a bunch of colourful gems or crystals floating on the screen. The Wild often comes stacked and you want to catch as many ‘B’ Scatters as possible.

We particularly liked the ambient soundtrack, which never grates on your nerves and provides some easy listening. Overall the gameplay, especially in the base game, is simple and straightforward. We do appreciate the stacked Wilds, because they can provide handsome payouts if you get three reels full of those.

Bonuses

More interesting is the bonus game, of course. Here you’ll be able to choose among three Free Spin features. Depending on the number of Scatters you collect to begin with, you’ll get different amounts of Free Spins as well.

Most of the time you can expect to collect 3 Bonus symbols, which will then give you the choice of playing 16 free spins , which will pay both ways; 12 free spins, but with 3 extra rows; or 8 free spins that provide 3 extra rows and also pay both ways.

Should you manage to get 4 Scatters, you’d get 32, 24 or 18 free spins, respectively, of the same variety of options and 5 Scatters will yield a stunning 48, 36 or 24 free spins to choose from.

The risk is yours. Playing more spins at with the regular number of rows definitely yields good results, but playing few spins with extra rows that pay both ways definitely means more options to win. You should stick around long enough to try out all three options and see for yourself. Since this is a budget friendly slot, you’ll be able to play it for quite some time.

Summary

Even without hitting the Free Spin Feature frequently, the base game can keep you going for a long time, provided to keep hitting those stacked Wilds. We found ourselves pretty lucky in that regard, which made it easy to hang in there when waiting to collect enough Bonus Symbols.

The lovely soundtrack and graphics make this a slot that’s easy on eyes and ears and it took a long time before we became bored with the gameplay. Hanging around for those Free Spins is definitely worthwhile, just to see those extra rows and win both ways. Ultimately the slot doesn’t really compare to Starburst, though we can see why a comparison can be made. As long as the Bonus Game doesn’t remain too elusive, we certainly found this a solid offering from Thunderkick.
